Dr. Bruce Solomon's love of horses and veterinary medicine started early in his life. His father, Joseph Solomon, D.V.M., was a past President and founding member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners. Bruce graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. He joined Teigland, Franklin & Brokken in 1990 as a full partner.
His special interest is the use of ultrasonography to diagnose soft tissue injuries and evaluate thoracic disease.
He also enjoys evaluating two-year-olds for purchase by our clients, and he attends several sales each year in Miami and Ocala.
As a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, Dr. Solomon has served on the Student Relations Committee and is currently a member of the Racing Committee. In addition to the AAEP, Dr. Solomon is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association and the Florida Association of Equine Practitioners.
Dr. Solomon and his wife, Sheryl, have two children, Lauren and Eric, and many pets – dogs, cats and horses. He enjoys playing golf and basketball, and coaching soccer teams for both of his children.
